ResponderBorrarThe autocratic leadership is an authoritarian type of management, this means that only one individual has the control over the group’s path and decision making. The choices are mainly based on this leader’s perspective and ideas, rarely accepting others opinion. There are positive and negative aspects of this leadership. A benefit this type of leadership comes with is the quick decision making, if only one person is taking the group’s decisions it’s easier to get to a certain path they’ll follow, specially in stressful situations when you need an answer as soon as possible. Also, this type of leader is very effective when small groups need guidance, when this small groups are lacking of motivation or can’t find the right path, this person can take the command of the group and guide them on the right and effective way. This leadership method also has some negative aspects we have to take in count. One of them is that they ignore others’ opinion and ideas, the other team participants can’t influence in any way the decision the leader is making, forcing them to do something that maybe they don’t want to do. They could even have a more effective idea, but that will never be known.

ResponderBorrarI Think that the an autocratic leader is characterized by individual control over all decisions and little input from group members. Autocratic leaders typically make choices based on their ideas and judgments and rarely accept advice from followers. Autocratic leadership involves absolute, authoritarian control over a group. Like other leadership styles, the autocratic style has both some benefits and some weaknesses. While those who rely on this approach to heavily are often seen as bossy or dictator-like, this level of control can have benefits and be useful in certain situations. for exmple: Elon Musk is an autocratic leader because he does all of the decisions from tesla to the new company of space x . some benefits of an autocratic leadership are :Allows for quick decision making especially in stress-filled situations , Offers a clear chain of command or oversight , Works well where strong, directive leadership is needed. Some disadvantages or cons as you like to see them of autocratic leadership are :Discourages group input , Hurts morale and leads to resentment , Ignores or impairs creative solutions and expertise from subordinates.
other benefts can be that it provides structure , it provides direction and it reliefs pressure. disadvantages: it hurts moral and descourages the group.

ResponderBorrarUsing Laissez Faire leadership style allows workers to be more disciplined and self-sufficient with their work and thereby improve their leadership skills, also, it gives a chance to people who have more experience in more specific situations, so that in a certain way each member can offer their skills and in such a way achieve success with the help of all. Laissez Faire helps to explore more ideas and stimulate creativity in team members, this leadership style can be used to stimulate the search for new ideas, as it is based on listening to many voices and their opinions, which in the end come together and create extraordinary ideas or solutions, and of course encourages personal innovation, however, this style can create a lot of confusion with the assigned roles, the lack of supervision of the leader can make some members begin to want to take the leadership role, of which they may not be ready and create a disorganization of the positions and roles of each one, also weakens the relationship of the members, if this style is used very constantly, the members can move away from the leader, believing him as a disinterested person, also working and living in such a constant environment can make the members begin to act in the same way and as a result a work with less quality or condition and by creating separately and personally their work environments, they can create separations between members, creating a more competitive environment between people or teams, making it difficult to merge teams or join one for a project.

There are four types of leadership.

People can share their opinions and are not limited to receive orders. Communication and empowerment are keys aspects in democratic leadership.
o The Laissez-faire: Total omission of the manager in give orders, letting others act, generally, this leadership conducts to low profitability and productivity levels.

ResponderBorrarEach leadership style has different benefits and disadvantages, some ways to be a leader are better than others because more discipline is implemented and some lack discipline like Laissez Faire, this type of leadership refers to letting employees act on their own without taking many orders from the leader and even thought this sounds like a good way to lead, it can have many downsides to it, for example:
Negatives
• It can weaken your position because of the lack of authority shown to employees
• Productivity can reduce because employees decide how much to work
• Encourages laziness since people have the opportunity to lower their work tasks
Positives
• Encourages personal growth and innovation
• Encourages responsibility because people must manage their own times
• Increases job satisfaction since this makes employees feel like they are trusted by their boss at managing their times and work
• It can free up your schedule

ResponderBorrarGood leaders are generally defined as someone with a clear vision of how goals are to be achieved to the benefit of their people and company. They choose to listen to peers and subordinates alike to facilitate better decision-making. They are always available when the team needs them and they are a great inspiration to garner the team forward. The way a leader leads and manages a team can be briefly described as a management style. The style they adopt will have a profound impact on the people they work with and the outcome of their short and long-term objectives.
1. Autocratic leadership style : Rely on specific rules, policies, and procedures to govern all processes within the workplace.
2. Visionary leadership style: They bring cohesiveness to inspire all team members to be on the same page.
3. Consultative leadership style: Assume their team is capable and has the knowledge needed to excel at their jobs.
4. Participative leadership style: Normally involve their entire team. Encourage the team to participate in decision-making, consulting, and will involve them in the formulation of plans and policies.
5. Pacesetting management style: Sets high or hard-to-reach standards to drive their team to achieve new goals. Sets the bar high for themselves and others on the team alike.
Advantages:
• Improves motivation and morale
• Performance improves due to greater ownership for all team members
Disadvantages:
• Can be indecisive, with it taking too long to reach a decision
• Social pressure to conform with groupthink

ResponderBorrarA democratic organization or company could be apple is a company that use this democratic leadership because this type of leadership is really good and usefull because you can say what your employees have to do but also the employees can help giving new ideas and ways to inovate the company thats why apple is a great company, not only hear the ideas of the employees, they aslo hear all their customers and is not the only company another examples could be Facebook and twitter that hear the ideas of the people to stop bullying in social media doing many ways to stoped like kickout people with offensive comments, thats why many companies use this leadership because all the comments help no one of this comments are pointless. In my opinión the democratic leadership is the best they not is usefull in the companies, we use it in countries, in the neighborhood, so if we just think about it is good for something this method Works and people use it, if you ask to me, I will use it as many times I can, thats why are many sucess companies, I will let you think.
There are three types of leadership autocratic, democratic, Laissez faire. I advantage of been an autocratic leader is that you do the choices of your company, you do not dependo n the decision of others, you do what you wants with your company that, well is good and make sense becuase is your company but there are a lot of disadvantage for example, you lose the ideas of your employees that sometimes are not good ideas but maybe the employees have good ideas, you gonna lose it because you don´t want to hear them so it is a fifty fifty, they can have a bad idea but if they have a really good one you never gonna know if you don´t let them try. The laissez faire well it is “let it happen let be” the good thing is that if you never was in a business you can let it work without your administration that is a great point, but the bad thing is that if you do not administrade it can happen anything, the comany can grow but maybe never goes on. So you can keep working on that dream.

ResponderBorrarB) What are the advantages or disadvantages of the styles of leadership? Choose one style and mention the positive and negative aspects of at least that style.
Leadership is the action of leading a group of people or an organization. There are three notable styles of leadership: Autocratic, Democratic and Laissez faire. The autocratic is characterized by the control of the leader over all decisions, usually making decisions based on their ideas and judgements without accepting advice from the rest of the group. Democratic leadership encourages the community participation, letting employees decide more about their functions and letting them express their opinions, not limited to receive orders. Laissez faire lets the others take action and has total omission of the manager in give orders, “let it happen, let it be”. Due to the fact all these leadership styles have very different characteristics, each one has different benefits and disadvantages because some are more disciplined than others. The advantages of all of these styles are that no matter how much input the leader has there will always be some teamwork and the disadvantages is that in most of them the rest of the personnel lacks expressivity.
Positive and Negative aspects of autocratic leadership
Positive:
• Allows for quick decision-making especially in stress-filled situations.
• Offers a clear chain of command or oversight.
• Works well where strong, directive leadership is needed.
Negative:
• Discourages group input.
• Hurts morale and leads to resentment.
• Ignores or impairs creative solutions and expertise from subordinates.

One of the advantages of leadership styles is that it establishes good chemistry between the people involved in a project and helps promote well-being and productivity. One of the disadvantages is that since there are many in a company, it can happen that there is little communication which would cause stress, Burn Out syndrome, etc. The democratic style is one that encourages participation, uses its employees to decide together and They can make decisions that seem best to them, in addition, among its advantages it encourages that when they choose they do not feel that they are being given orders and can feel safe in their work area, in addition to that it would increase productivity by feeling that they belong to a group and they are like a family. Now let's talk about the disadvantages of this style that although they are not many and are not always visible if they are not detected they can affect, for example some employees may exceed the limits of feeling that they can make their own decisions, it can create abuse of trust by believing that others will not realize if you are working so it is important to keep track and supervise the work areas.

Leaders can have different styles, and they are a lot of styles, but one of the most common is the authoritarians style, that is also known as autocratic leaders, this type of leaders provide a clear and precise direction on what needs to be done and how it should be done as your name says authority and leaders focus on control and power as your key to a good management, they make a division between either and followers that is well defined, this type of leaders usually are decisive, domineering and confident.

There are different styles of leaders because there are different types of people with different characteristics, it is important the development of each of these styles, because that also involves the personal development of each leader but, is being one or another type of leader is bad? The answer is no, because each style has a positive side and a negative side, among the advantages are:
-The personal and work exploration that leads us to develop different skills, forming diverse and functional leaders.
-Although there are certain standards that a leader must meet, there is no exact specificity of what they should be like.
The disadvantages:
-If these leaders are apprehensive of a one-size-fits-all style, they fail to be flexible with either their team of ideas, or with those who contradict them for doing things one way or another.
Autocratic leader.
According to Better Up (February,2021):
"Autocratic leaders rely on specific rules, policies, and procedures to govern all processes within the workplace. They make all the decisions with little input from team members.
A good example would be Kim Jong-un, the supreme leader of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, also known as North Korea."
Advantanges:
-They are not hesitant in the face of crises in the team, they make quick decisions.
-They do not tend to be slow, they do not waste time when it is necessary to induct new members.
-They can improve productivity because, being upright people, they get members through specific processes and systems without procrastinating.
Disadvantages:
-They often block members' creativity, as they don't need or require feedback on how to do things.
-Members become dependent and routine, as they are afraid to share what they think.
-Members' morale decreases, their work becomes uninteresting.

ResponderBorrarThe advantages and disadvantages of the different styles of leadership are the results that they bring to the table. For example, we have the UFC and the Boxing world. The UFC is a company of mixed martial arts, and is directed by Dana White, in this company, the fighters sign a contract in which the UFC has to give them 3 fights by the end of each year, but they can´t choose who they fight. This is good because the best fighters are facing always the best fighters, but they do not win a lot of money in comparison to boxing. Because in boxing they can choose one fights and choose to promote a brand of clothing for the fight, they are have not that kind, meanwhile in the UFC they cannot do this kind of stuff. A bad thing in boxing is that because they are not obligate to fight a determinate fighter, there are not a lot of good fights in boxing. Because the best fighters are not fighting the best fighters, the fights that people want to see are not happening. Therefore, I prefer in some cases the authority leader than the democratic leader. However, for the fighters´ wallet, the democratic is better.

ResponderBorrarA)I believe that speaking of an industry the best way or to lead would be self-critician, because it is your company, and you must make your own decisions for the good of the company, since the self-critician, is the one who makes the decisions for everyone. On the other hand, if this was democratic, you would have to listen to the opinion of each worker and in a company you cannot, you would have to listen to the opinions of the members, and to avoid this type of thing you usually use a board of directors that are the heads of the different sections to be able to lead the company to success. I would go more for the autocrat, as long as I have a board of directors, of the different sections, it would be an autocratic system throwing a democrat, because I can't make the decisions of such a large company.
In conclusion, I think that if I would opt for a democratic one, since, that workers feel heard in their different sections can be a plus point for them to work better and achieve better and better performance, and listen to the different points of view to make a decision.
B) I choose a Democratic point of view, since to carry out a very large company it is important to hear different points of view of how the company should work. Because you can't be everywhere at once, and it is very important to know what is done in your company. There are many benefits offered by democratic leadership. We've discussed how it can encourage participation, boost confidence, strengthen relationships, prioritise good qualities like honesty, and have noticeable impacts on morale. And it is very important to know these advantages, and their respective disadvantages to be able to choose how to be a successful leader. It is also important to consider that Leaders that use this style of leadership can fall into a dangerous trap. Instead of making a decision, they defer to their team for ideas. There is not always time to do so. Sometimes, being a leader means making a decision for the whole team in the moment. In conclusion, the Advantages of democratic leadership include creating employee job satisfaction and encouraging innovation and creative solutions to organizational issues and problems. Disadvantages can include reduction of efficiency and problems with accountability.

Autocratic or Authoritarian leadership
ResponderBorrarAn autocratic leader centralizes power and decision-making in himself. He gives orders, assigns tasks and duties without consulting the employees. The leader takes full authority and assumes full responsibility.
Democratic or Participative leadership
Participative or democratic leaders decentralise authority. It is characterised by consultation with the subordinates and their participation in the formulation of plans and policies. He encourages participation in decision-making.
The Laissez-faire or Free-rein leadership
Free-rein leaders avoid power and responsibility. The laissez-faire or non-interfering type of leader passes on the responsibility for decision-making to his subordinates and takes a minimum of initiative in administration. He gives no direction and allows the group to establish its own goals and work out its own problems.
Paternalistic leadership
Under this management style the leader assumes that his function is fatherly or paternal. Paternalism means papa knows best. The relationship between the leader and his group is the same as the relationship between the head of the family and the members of the family. The leader guides and protects his subordinates as members of his family.
Advantages : Implements vision and values
Ensures effective communication
Motivates employees
Provides appropriate resources
Disadvantages: employee resentment
paralysis when the boss is unavailable
limited creativity since only one person provides ideas

ResponderBorrarDemocracy encourages a lot of participation; its name comes from the Greek “Demos” people and “Krateín” govern, this means the government of people. This type of government encourages participation and people’s opinion, it looks like the perfect government, people govern just by a representant they choose, everyone participates and is included, but democracies can be flawed, there can be any situations were democracy is flawed, the most common is corruption, representants of people can be manipulated or tented by the money the people produce, having all that money and giving it to the wrong hands, to a corrupt person, can be worse than other types of government, also a lot of times people want something and would get it no matters if it is bad to the others, people never agree, there is always a discomforted, and sometimes this discomforted can be really dangerous, getting what he/she or them want whatever the cost is. And a lot of times the decisions that the people do aren’t respected or the government proposes things that are unnecessary and just waste time, when the democracy isn’t respected it starts to become an autocratic government disguised as a democracy, it is like a wolf disguised of a sheep and this can be the cause of an organization to collapse.

ResponderBorrarI believe that both ways of managing a business are acceptable, in my opinion you cannot manage a company in the same way over the years and not caring about the number of employees, being democratic, or autocratic depends more on the situation. If the company is large, you can create small groups or teams which focus on specific areas of the business (marketing, accounting, human resources, imports, etc.). In the case in which the company is considered as a small business, I believe that the decisions of the way the business will take will not have to be discussed with people other than the partners, all this is base on all the complications that represents depending on the size of the business, the smaller it is the easier it will be for the owner (leader) to manage the finances, human resources, product, of his company.
But if the business is considered big, you will have to assign a leader for each team that manages an area of the business, that way they will inform the owner of all the frequent data. No matter the size of the company, it will always be important to have good communication between employees, creativity, and adaptability, because as the company grows the employees will face new problems. From my point of view the best way to lead a team work is democratic, the work area is much more relaxed and joyful since all the members have the option to share their points of view as well as their disagreements, the brainstorming is effective in solving problems. The negative points could be that by not following strict and clear rules as in autocratic, employees could harm their relationships by not knowing how to dialogue or share their ideas in a calm way.

ResponderBorrarAn autocratic leader is the one who adopts the authoritarian style dictates policy and procedure, and directs the work done by the group without looking for any meaningful input from them. The group led by an authoritarian would be expected to complete their tasks under close supervision.
While authoritarian leadership sounds stifling, it has its place: it’s best applied to situations where there is little time for group decision making, or when the leader has expertise that the rest of the group does not. When authoritarian leadership strays into areas where it is not needed, it can create dysfunctional environments where followers are the “good guys” and domineering leaders the “bad guys.”
Those leaders practicing the democratic leadership style offer guidance to the group, as for their input in decision making but retain final say. Democratic leaders make their group feel like they’re part of a team, which creates commitment within the group.
There are drawbacks to the democratic style. If roles within the group are unclear, participative leadership can lead to communication failures. If the group is not skilled in the area in which they’re making decisions, poor decisions could be the result.
Leaders practicing the Laissez-Faire leadership style are very hands-off. They offer little or no guidance to their group and leave decision making up to the group. A Laissez-Faire leadership will provide the necessary tools and resources to complete a project and will take responsibility for the group’s decisions and actions, but power is basically handed over to the group.
The Laissez-Faire style is particularly appropriate for a group of highly skilled workers, and creative teams often value this kind of freedom. On the other hand, this style does not work well for a group that lacks the needed skills, motivation or adherence to deadlines, and that can lead to poor performance.

ResponderBorrarBeginning with the type of autocratic leader in the part of advantage this type of leader is, when making important decisions that may affect the company and the team, they do not have to ask a third party (such as a superior) to make the final decision, because in the end he is and will consider the team members and be able to make the clearest decisions, so team members can continue the project, move deadlines, and remove obstacles that may negatively affect their overall productivity. So, considering the situation part, you can use the creation of short-term results because when it comes to completing a project on time with great urgency, such as when the company begins to decline, the leader is that he must make the fastest decision so that he can start again when necessary zero
Now one of the biggest disadvantages of this type of leader is that it depends solely on what the leader decides, so what would happen if the leader leaves? Well, the members would not know what to do because they are only focused on what they do, they would not have to do if they do not have to be told. So, they become dependent on the leader so in this case of situations it would be to have a structure in which a person continues what the past leader was doing with the same team.

ResponderBorrarAutocratic leader The advantages of this type of government is that when important decisions are required, the person in charge decides what is best for everyone and it does not take long and if it is successful it is very effective, this leader is chosen for his qualities in terms of leadership, confidence, intelligence, etc. in short, the most suitable person is chosen to command the team and order it. This type of government is very good in terms of the situation, since if they are going through an obstacle the leader has to order them, and to see possible options for the team.
The disadvantages for this method of government are very bad and that if the leader makes a mistake the team goes down, it is a danger that the leader must run, another disadvantage is that if the leader is poorly chosen and does not know how to control the team, this it will not have an order and everything will go from bad to worse.

ResponderBorrarA leader: The leader is that person that commands a group of people or organization, the leaders work side by side with their subordinates to achieve successful work and all the goals that the company have, a good leader can use his knowledge, experience, and abilities to persuade his team and influence them in making what it is best for their company voluntarily. Depending on the business classification and the type of leadership, the leader has different responsibilities.
Democratic leader: A democratic leader encourages the team participation, allowing them more flexibility on deciding their tasks and making decisions on their own.
Autocratic leader: This leadership style is recognized by the individual control over the team, and almost none advise is taken into account in a decision of an autocratic leader, it is chosen by judgement and ideology.
Laissez-Faire leader: A French expression that means ‘let it be’. This type of leadership is characterized by the total omission of the leader in giving orders permitting other members to take supervised actions and it is used when the strategic director do not have that much of an understanding in the subject of the business, because its new or some other factors.
Some of the advantages of this way of leading a company, is that the employees have liberty and freedom to make decisions, this helps to bring creativity to the organization. I t also has some disadvantages like the lack of role awareness than could lead towards poor effectiveness of the team and they have no guidance.
All of these types of leaderships are for different types of situations and for different kind of strategies in order to accomplish the best for the organization.
